Manage SaaS connectors

Learn how to manage your SaaS connectors in Settings.

To manage SaaS connectors, you require the Snow Atlas Administrator role.

View connectors

You can view all available SaaS connectors on the Discover tab.

You can view your added connectors on the Added tab, to see their last data import and schedule.

  1. On the Settings menu, under SaaS settings, select SaaS connectors.

  2. Select the Discover tab, to view all available connectors.

  3. Select the Added tab, to view all added connectors.

Select the name of a connector to view its details.

Add connectors

You can add multiple connectors for the same vendor and product if you, for example, want to use different settings. If you add more than one connector with the same settings, data imports create duplicate data in the system.

To add connectors, you must prepare the necessary credentials for the connector in the respective vendor portals. To prepare connector credentials, follow the product-specific procedure.

  1. On the Settings menu, under SaaS settings, select SaaS connectors.

  2. On the Discover tab, select Add connector for the connector that you want to add.

  3. In the dialog, select Add connector.

  4. Under General, enter a Name for the connector.

The name is used to identify the connector in lists and as a discovery source; it must be unique.

  5. Under Settings, enter the credentials for the connector.

To prepare connector credentials, follow the product-specific procedure.

  6. Under Schedule, you can schedule data imports.

By default, schedule is Enabled and set to daily at 23:00 in your time zone. You can change the time or disable scheduling:

    • To change the time for data imports, in Daily, select the time.

The selected time is in your time zone, based on the time zone of your browser. The offset of your browser's time zone from UTC is shown in parentheses. Someone in another time zone sees the scheduled time in their time zone.

The selected time, and the displayed offset, adjusts automatically for daylight saving time, when applicable.

    • To disable scheduling, in Schedule, select Disabled.

A disabled schedule requires that you manually import data. Data from the vendor will not be updated automatically in your system.

  7. To add the connector and test the connection, select Save.

The connector is added to the system.

Edit connectors

You can edit the name, settings, and data import scheduling.

  1. On the SaaS connectors page, on the Added tab, select the checkbox for the connector that you want to edit.

  2. On the Actions menu, select Edit.

  3. Under General, Settings, and Schedule, edit the applicable fields.

Follow the steps in Add connectors if required.

  4. Select Save.

tip

On the Edit connector page, you can also delete a connector.

Test connections

You can test the connection to check that the credentials work.

  1. On the SaaS connectors page, on the Added tab, select the checkbox for the connector for which you want to test the connection.

  2. On the Actions menu, select Test connection.

Schedule data imports

You can set a schedule for data imports so that you always have the latest data for your SaaS estate. Data imports are scheduled daily by default when you add a connector.

If you disable the schedule, no data is imported to the system unless you manually do it.

  1. On the SaaS connectors page, on the Added tab, select the checkbox for the connector that you want to edit.

  2. On the Actions menu, select Edit.

  3. Under Schedule, do one of the following:

    • To set or edit a schedule:

      i. In Schedule, select Enabled.

ii. In Daily, select the time.

  4. Select Save.

Import data

You can manually import data, even when the connector has a schedule set.

If you want to disable data imports, disable the schedule, as described in Schedule data imports.

  1. On the SaaS connectors page, on the Added tab, select the checkbox for the connector for which you want to run an aggregation.

  2. On the Actions menu, select Import now.

Delete connectors

You can delete connectors, their settings, and all collected data. If you only want to disable data imports, disable the schedule, as described in Schedule data imports.

  1. On the SaaS connectors page, on the Added tab, select the checkbox for the connector that you want to delete.

  2. On the Actions menu, select Delete.

  3. In Delete connector, select Delete.

tip

You can also delete a connector from the Edit connector page, as described in Edit connectors.
