License Management: Reference
Refer to the tables below for field descriptions when you want to view or edit License Management settings in SAM > Settings > SAM Core settings in Snow Atlas.

The general settings let you, for example, enable license assignment tracking and define allowlist and denylist for file extensions.

Allow users to save incomplete licenses | If this setting is enabled, users are allowed to start to register a license purchase and complete it later when all details are available. |
Check that the license external id is not already used when adding new license purchases | If this setting is enabled, users are prevented from adding the same license purchase twice by mistake. |
Enable license assignment tracking | If this setting is enabled, changes to license assignments are tracked. Note that this will also add additional mandatory steps to the license registration process. |

Enable anonymous user management | If this setting is enabled, all usernames are hidden to meet integrity demands. |
Use experimental software recognition | Can be used as an alternative source for software recognition. If this setting is enabled, the time to recognize the applications installed on the computers is reduced. There might be metering data risks with experimental software recognition. Consult Flexera Support before you enable this setting. |
Datacenter
The datacenter setting lets you automatically remove computer names from auto-generated datacenters when no new inventory data is received.
Field label | Description |

Computer and mobile device quarantine
Quarantine management lets you manually or automatically clean out computers and mobile devices with no recent usage.
If quarantine management is enabled for auto-generated datacenters, note that the members of the datacenters will not be affected by the quarantine settings. To enable quarantine management for members of datacenters, you must first remove the members from the datacenters. For more information, see Datacenter.
