Learn how to manage roles.
Find roles and view the permissions

On the Snow Atlas settings menu, under User management, select Roles.

Select the relevant tab:

To search for a default role, select Default roles.

To search for a custom role, select Custom roles.

Start to enter search criteria in the Role filter box.
The search results are displayed as you enter criteria.

Select the name of the role that you want to view the permissions for.
tipTo view the scope of each permission, from the Columns menu, select Permission.
Create custom roles
Create a custom role with access to selected functionality:

On the Roles page, select Create custom role.

In Create custom role, enter a name for the role.

Optional: Enter a description of the role.

Optional: Select a role to base the custom role on from the list, and select Apply.
The permissions for the base role are selected in the list of all the permissions.
tipTo view the scope of each permission, from the Columns menu, select Permission.

Start to enter search criteria in the filter boxes.
The search results are displayed as you enter criteria.

Select the permissions that you want to add to the role.

Select Save.
The role you create is listed under Custom roles.
Edit custom roles

On the Roles page, select Custom roles.

Start to enter search criteria in the Role filter box.
The search results are displayed as you enter criteria.

Do one of the following:

Select the name of the role that you want to edit.

Select the checkbox for the role that you want to edit, and from the Actions menu, select Edit.

Update the role as required.

Select Save.
Delete custom roles

On the Roles page, select Custom roles.

Do one of the following:

Select the name of the role that you want to delete, then select Delete.

Select the checkbox for the role that you want to delete, and from the Actions menu, select Delete.

In Delete custom role, select Delete.
