The new manufacturer appears in the list on the Manufacturers tab.

note

If you try to create a manufacturer with a name similar to the manufacturers provided by the Data Intelligence Service (DIS), you will see a warning with information on these manufacturer names. You can then select to cancel the operation or to create a duplicate manufacturer in the Private Application Catalogue.

A consequence of duplicate manufacturers is that they will be reflected in the reports in SAM Core on Snow Atlas, as the reports group the installations and metrics of the applications by the duplicate manufacturers.

One solution is to add a prefix to the name of the duplicate manufacturer in the Private Application Catalogue. For example, add the manufacturer "Custom Microsoft Corporation" instead of "Microsoft Corporation".
