Configure Okta as SSO provider

Learn how to configure Okta as your SSO provider in Snow Atlas. To use Okta as your SSO provider, you must add Snow Atlas as an Okta app. After you add the Snow Atlas app in Okta, you must retrieve values from the app configuration that you require to set up Okta as your SSO provider in Snow Atlas.

Add Snow Atlas as Okta app

You must have access to your organization's Okta Admin Console to follow this procedure.

  1. In the Okta Admin Console, select Applications and navigate to the App Catalog.

  2. Search for Snow Atlas, and select Add for the application.

  3. Enter a name for the application, and select Done.

  4. Select the Okta API Scopes tab.

  5. Select Grant for each scope listed in Application permissions.

Find values to set up Okta SSO in Snow Atlas

You require the relevant Issuer, Client ID and Client secret for your Snow Atlas Okta app integration.

This procedure identifies where you retrieve and copy values from the Snow Atlas Okta app that you require in Snow Atlas to add Okta as your SSO provider. For more information, see Add SSO providers.

  1. In the Okta Admin Console, select Applications, and search for Snow Atlas.

  2. Select the Sign On tab.

  3. Copy the value for Client ID.

    Use the value as the Client ID when you set up Okta as your SSO provider.

  4. Copy the value for Client secret.

    Use the value as the Client secret when you set up Okta as your SSO provider.

  5. Select OpenID Provider Metadata, and in the view that opens, copy the value for Issuer.

    Use the value as the Issuer when you set up Okta as your SSO provider.
