Oracle verified data tab

The Oracle verified data tab in the Oracle section of SAM Core enables you to download Oracle verified data for your Oracle environment.

Since Flexera is a verified third-party tool vendor for Oracle Databases and Database options, Fusion Middleware, Java SE, and E-Business Suite, Oracle accepts the data collected by Snow Atlas, and downloaded via the Oracle verified data tab, as verified data.

note

To access the Oracle verified data tab, additional Snow Atlas user role permissions are required. To populate the Oracle verified data tab with inventory data, additional local installations are required. For more information, see Prerequisites.

The Oracle verified data tab is divided into four views:

  • Computers with complete verified data

You can prepare and download output files with Oracle verified data in this view. The table lists all computers for which you can prepare and download Oracle verified data.

Computers lacking information about Assigned database license, Metric, and/or Environment are included in the list, but the missing information must be added before those computers can be included in the output file. If any computers in the table are lacking the above-mentioned information, a warning message appears above the table. The missing information can be added directly via this view.

The output file is a ZIP file with the following content:

    • Software data output files: Database related files, Middleware files, Java report, and E-Business Suite related files

    • Hardware data output in TXT files.

    • VMware (vCenter) related data output in two CSV files (per vCenter).

      note

If the file contains data from both the Databases and Fusion Middleware product categories, the hardware data output is included in both the SW and HW folders of the file.

  • Computers with incomplete verified data

The table in this view lists computers for which you cannot download Oracle verified data due to critical missing data or errors. Examples of such critical issues are missing Snow Inventory Oracle Scanner data, missing computer in the topology, validation errors, or parsing errors.

For each issue listed in the table, the reasons why the data is categorized as incomplete are shown, together with recommended actions for resolving the issue. If all the issues for a computer are resolved, it will be moved to the Computers with complete verified data table, and verified data for the computer can be included in the output file.

  • Configuration

In this view, you can configure what product categories you want to focus on: Database, Middleware, E-Business Suite, and/or Java. Only the selected product categories will be shown in the Computers with complete verified data and Computers with incomplete verified data views. The data for the deselected product categories will be excluded from processing, starting from the next execution of the Oracle services.

  • User export

In this view, you can export hashed values for masked E-Business Suite users to a CSV file.

See Oracle verified data tab: Reference for a description of the information shown in the tables.
