Get started with Oracle

Before you can start using the Oracle pages, inventory sources must be installed on your Oracle environments. In addition, your Snow Atlas user role must have permissions to access the Oracle pages. For information on required inventory sources and permissions for Oracle, see Prerequisites.

When the inventory sources and permissions are in place, you can start adding information about your Oracle orders and agreements to the pages. While the information from the inventoried Oracle environments is gathered and supplied automatically to SAM Core, all Oracle agreements must be registered manually. You must also register your Oracle orders (entitlements), either one by one or through a bulk order file import. Furthermore, you must associate the Oracle orders with the Oracle servers, which you can do either manually or by using the Oracle auto-assignment functionality.
