Manage secondary use rights

SAM Core on Snow Atlas lets you manage secondary use rights licensing.

Some software suppliers offer licensing features for Home PC - Work PC or Desktop computer - Laptop computer, also referred to as Secondary use rights. This means that one single license covers two installations of the same application on two separate computers, for instance, one desktop computer and one laptop computer. In SAM Core on Snow Atlas these computers are then called primary computer and sibling computer.

To manage this licensing feature from a compliance perspective, you must enable secondary use rights for the application in SAM Core. Also, you must establish a connection between the primary computer and the sibling computer in SAM Core. You can either specify the sibling computer manually or you can use an automated function that establishes the connection based on the primary user of both computers within the same organization. For automated handling of sibling computers, contact Snow Software for implementation in your IT environment.
