License assignment tracking
In SAM Core on Snow Atlas, licenses can be assigned to specific organization nodes, sites, computers/datacenters, or users. For more information, see Manage license assignments.
You can enable tracking of the license assignments and have all assignment events written to a log. Tracking is enabled in SAM Core settings, under License Management. For more information, see License Management: Reference.
When license tracking is enabled and you manually add or change a license assignment, the Add assignment tracking information dialog appears when you save your changes. The information you submit in this dialog is logged and shown on the License assignment tracking page. Each assignment event is given an ID in the order it is created.
If you configure a license to be automatically allocated, the configuration itself is logged but the individual allocated assignments are not logged.
