Get started with Generic SaaS
Before you can start using the Generic SaaS pages, the inventory sources for Generic SaaS listed in Prerequisites must be installed and configured. The inventory sources populate the pages with data on subscriptions, applications, and activity.
Add cost periods
When the inventory sources have been installed, you can start adding cost periods. This is to get accurate statistics and insights into the Generic SaaS pages.
The information imported from SaaS providers covers the total number of subscriptions and the number of subscriptions that have been assigned to users. However, there is no information about the costs for the subscriptions from the service providers. Therefore, the cost periods must be added manually to provide accurate statistics and charts.
