Getting started
To get started with SAM Core on Snow Atlas, there are some tasks that we recommend you complete before you can manage the software assets of your organization.
Prerequisites
The table below shows the roles you must have to get started with SAM Core. Fore more information, see Roles.

Create organization structure
To organize your software assets you must first create an organization structure. You can either create the complete organization structure or you can just create the root node, which is the minimum requirement. For more information, see Manage organization structure.
Review base currency
Verify that the base currency is correct and, if needed, add more currencies. For more information, see Currency settings and Manage currency settings.
Review settings
Review the License Management settings in SAM > Settings > SAM Core settings to verify, for example, that you have the correct settings for quarantine management of your computers, mobile devices, and users. For more information, see License Management: Reference.
Review the User settings in SAM > SAM Core > Home to verify, for example, that you have set your preferred export formats. For more information, see User settings and User settings: Reference.
