Risk Monitor

Risk Monitor helps you manage risk and data protection in your IT estate by automatically detecting software vulnerabilities and PII liabilities in all devices, users, and applications and displaying the results on interactive dashboards.

For risk managing purposes, you can use Risk Monitor to:

  • Automatically find software vulnerabilities.

  • Prioritize what to address first based on severity level.

  • Go straight to the problem, with context around risks, for example device type and user.

  • Actively manage software lifecycles, with end of life and vulnerability data in one place.

For data protection purposes, you can use Risk Monitor to:

  • Secure high-risk endpoints first, with both high access to PII and critical vulnerabilities.

  • Streamline compliance reporting with a full view of applications designed to hold personal data, and their use within your organization.

  • Speed up remediation within the time frames mandated by data privacy regulations.

  • Improve information accuracy.

Data sources

Risk Monitor combines data on your organization's devices, users, and applications from Snow License Manager and SAM Core on Snow Atlas with data on known software vulnerabilities from the National Vulnerability Database (NIST NVD). Risk Monitor also uses Flexera's internal intelligence on software assets and versions to identify applications that may process personal data, as well as end-of-life and end-of-support dates for your applications. The data is updated on a daily basis.

Risk Monitor user interfaces

Risk Monitor's interactive dashboards display data on your organization from a specific risk or data protection point of view. Read more about each dashboard in the Dashboards section, or look up the meaning of a specific key figure, filter, chart, or table.

Features, such as intended access, alerting, tagging, and exclusions are described in separate sections.
