Manage settings for all imports

On the Configuration menu, click Import settings.

Click the Settings tab.

In the Organization section, do the following:

In the Organization separator text box, type the character you will use as delimiter in the import source files to indicate the levels of the organization structure.

Select the Use upper case for organization friendly name check box if capital letters should be used in the friendly names.

In the Log: Created Organizations section, do the following

To save information on created organizations during an import to a log file, select the Enable check box.

In the Path text box, click and then browse for the folder where you want to save the log file.

Optionally, select the Include date stamp check box.

In the Max File Size (MB) list, select the maximum allowed size of the log file.

In the Backup Count list, select the number of backup files to keep.

Click Apply.
Manage settings for computer imports

On the Configuration menu, click Import settings.

Click the Computer import tab.

In the Obsolete Computers section, do the following:

To limit the obsolete computer action to certain computers in the database, select the Restrict by configuration name check box.

In the Allowed names text box, type the configuration names.

In the Log: Handled Obsolete Computers section, do the following:

To save information on how obsolete computers are handled during an import to a log file, select the Enable check box.

In the Path text box, click and then browse for the folder where you want to save the log file.

Optionally, select the Include date stamp check box.

In the Max File Size (MB) list, select the maximum allowed size of the log file.

In the Backup Count list, select the number of backup files to keep.

Click Apply.
