License assignment import
Use the License assignment import option to assign licenses.
In the Import settings step and in the Assignment action list, select Add to add to existing assignments on a license, or Replace to replace all previous assignments on a license.
The assignment type of a license determines which type of consumers the license can be assigned to. The consumers and what they are identified by are:

Computer/Datacenter - identified by Computer name, Bios serial number or Datacenter name

User - identified by User name

Organization - identified by Organization ID
To perform a successful import of license assignments, the target license must be identified by either an External ID or a License ID.

If the assignment type for a license is Computer/datacenter, then the consumers in the Assign to field is by default identified by the computer name. If the consumers in Snow License Manager are identified with Organization ID, use the Organization Name in Snow Management and Configuration Center and not the Friendly name. If the consumers in SAM Core on Snow Atlas are identified with Organization ID, use the Organization ID. If the import is unable to map to the organization, find the identities for each organization node and add the identities to the import file. To find the Organization ID, also called GUID, do the following:
