Snow Inventory Server

The Snow Inventory Server architecture consists of several components that capture, transfer and store inventory data. The data is later normalized, processed and refined for use in Snow License Manager.

Snow Inventory Server receives the inventory data collected from the computers by the Snow Inventory Agents. An Inventory Server can be configured as a Master Server or a Service Gateway. A Service Gateway receives inventory data reported by the Snow Inventory Agents and forwards it to a Master Server. A Master Server receives inventory data either from Snow Inventory Agents or Service Gateways, processes it, and writes to the Inventory database.

This document describes how to install, configure, manage, and troubleshoot the latest version of Snow Inventory Server. Some functionality described in this document may work differently or not at all in previous versions.
