Snow Inventory Java Scanner

Snow Inventory Java Scanner inventories data for all Java installations on a particular environment and provides information on their need for Oracle commercial license accordingly. The data is collected by a Snow Inventory Agent, which saves it to a compressed and encrypted file and sends it to a Snow Inventory endpoint (Snow Extender or Snow Inventory Server). The data is then processed and refined for use in Snow Atlas or Snow License Manager.

The scanner is a Java application and it is platform-independent, which enables it to run on a variety of operating systems. It collects data related to Java Version 7 and higher.

This document describes the latest version of Snow Inventory Java Scanner. Some functionality described in this document may work differently or not at all in previous versions.
