Configure the Cisco WebEx connector

The Snow Integration Connector for Cisco Webex is used to determine the number of registered Cisco Webex users.

The configuration must be started according to SaaS connector configuration.

note

For Snow Atlas users, it is recommended that you use the Cisco Webex connector native to the Snow Atlas platform, instead of the connector in SIM.

Prerequisites

Your company's Cisco Webex website address and the credentials for a Cisco Webex account with admin privileges are required.

Set up a Cisco Webex app

  1. Sign in to the Cisco Webex developer console with an admin account: Cisco Webex portal .

  2. Create an integration:

    1. Select Create a New App and then Create an Integration.

    2. Leave the SDK option as No.

    3. Enter Integration name, select an icon, and enter an App Hub Description.

    4. In Redirect URI(s), enter http://example.com. Save this URI to use when configuring the connector.

    5. In Scopes, select spark-admin:people_read.

    6. Select Add Integration.

  3. In the newly created integration, in OAuth settings, copy and save the Client ID and Client Secret. They are used when configuring the connector.

Procedure

In the Configure WebEx section at the bottom of Connector Configuration:SaaS, do the following.

  1. In ClientId, enter the value for Client ID of the created app in Set up a Cisco Webex app.

  2. In ClientSecret, enter the value for the Client Secret of the created app in Set up a Cisco Webex app.

  3. In RedirectUri, enter the value for the redirect uri of the created app in Set up a Cisco Webex app.

  4. Select Get URI. The All good dialog appears.

  5. Authenticate and generate the URI for the URI from browser:

    1. In the All good dialog, select OK.

    2. On the default browser that opens, enter the credentials for your Cisco Webex account and select Next.

    3. Select Authorize. A uri appears in the browser address field.

  6. In the URI from browser, enter the URI.

  7. Select Get Token. A message saying that the token is successfully acquired appears.

  8. To check if the connection can be established, select Test Connection.

  9. If the connection could not be established, verify that the connector has been configured according to Step 1 through 7 of the Procedure.

  10. To allow the data to be aggregated, select Active.

  11. Select Save.
