Configure the Inventory File Forwarder connector

The Inventory File Forwarder connector reads data from files in a folder. The Inventory File Forwarder connector is configured in Snow Integration Manager. For more information on Snow Integration Manager, see Snow Integration Manager.

In Snow Integration Manager, add the Inventory File Forwarder connector and configure the settings.

  1. In the Inventory file folder, enter the path of a folder where the connector will look for inventory files. You can also browse the folder using Browse.

  2. In the Discovery file folder, enter the path of a folder where the connector will look for discovery files. You can also browse the folder using Browse.

  3. In the Data receiver url, enter the complete URL to the remote Inventory Server.

  4. To verify that the connection can be established, select Test.

  5. To activate the proxy functionality, select Use proxy.

  6. Enter the proxy information in Settings according to one of the following steps:

    • If you want to use the default proxy configured in Internet Explorer, select Use default proxy.

    • Else, enter the proxy settings manually in the fields.

  7. To save the settings, select OK.

note

The Snow Inventory File Forwarder does not support client-side certificates.

If Snow Inventory Server 5, or later, is configured to require client-side certificates, install a Snow Inventory Service Gateway on the same server where the Snow Integration Manager is installed. Configure the Inventory File Forwarder to deliver the data to the Service Gateway instead of the Snow Inventory Server. The Service Gateway will then forward the data to the Inventory Master Server, or another Service Gateway.
